Your Next Right Step is a 5-day online course designed to help you break out of your funk through the power of storytelling.
You’ll create a character who’s a lot like you and walk them through a transition story based on the work of William Bridges, an expert on making the most of life’s changes.
Your character will acknowledge their strengths, identify and strengthen their resources, find others to help them, imagine ways of overcoming obstacles and setbacks—and maybe find their fairy godmother.
Along the way, you’ll identify new possibilities and remember things about yourself you might have forgotten.
You’ll spark your creativity, envision what you really want, and begin to develop a plan for getting there.
Once you click on the button below, register, and pay the $100 fee, you’ll immediately receive your Day 1 email and your first exercise.
You’ll receive emails on the next four days leading you and your character through the storytelling process with structured prompts:
On Day 2, you'll design your character and provide their backstory.
On Day 3, you'll write about the ending your character will navigate.
On Day 4, your character will spend time in the wilderness, where they will think about obstacles and build their resources..
On Day 5, you'll explore the new beginning, reflect on what you wrote, and take steps to share that story with me.
Finally, your course will end with a 50-minute session with me, where we’ll go over your character’s journey and talk about what you learned.
